Awesome food. Pasta is perfectly cooked and delicious. The tasting menu options are the way to go for first timers. Overlooks the marina and California yacht club. Highly recommend it!

Being lactose sensitive, Italian restaurants are usually not in my go to list. However with raving reviews, we've been wanting to try UOVO for a long time and we're glad we did. They have long wait which we knew as they don't take reservations and the seating area is very small. Their service is one of the best for the restaurant without tip system. They do charge 16% service charge. I can't say enough about the quality of their food. I saw somewhere that they get pasta shipped from Italy overnight, I'm not 100% sure about this but the taste and texture of all of their pastas were like nothing I've ever had before. It was fresh, chewy, yet melted in the mouth. Their sauces are authentic from different regions in Italy and they were delicious. My husband is a vegetarian and I can't have dairy so we weren't able to share the tasting menu. Tasting menu either had meat or all cheese options. However our friends ordered cheese options from the tasting menu and I tried strands from each dish which were absolutely delicious. I got myself Vongole, which honestly I make much better but the spaghetti wouldn't be as good as theirs. Yellowtail crudo and Arugula salad were one of the best. With all this, we may still not go back unless our friends want to because we have limited options due to dairy sensitivity and meat exclusion. However it is a must go place for anyone who likes Italian food. Their tiramisu was homemade. My husband and friends really liked it. I highly recommend to try this place at least once. It's totally worth it.

This place has all the LA things! Food was delish! Like TRUE Italian food. Was in Venezia, Firenze, Milano and Roma Jan 2024 and have been on the hunt for authentic Italian since back in the states and LA and this spot is really yummy! And the yellowtail crudo was a yummy pleasant surprise. Cacio e Pepe was nummy! Bolognese was perfection. Complete vibes! The people were super nice! Service was on point and manager even came over to check on everyone. Love the awning that they bring out when it's too hot too windy or rainy, great combo of coverage as needed and outdoor SoCal vibes. Well done decor! Super chill, not loud and really nice to sit outside and enjoy the scenery water boats people watching etc. and you can take a nice walk after your meal and enjoy it all. Parking is paid but easy. Will be back!

Sister was in town and this was the 1st bougie place we decided to go to (2nd being Erewhon - you can read on that separately). I say it's bougie because it's pasta flown in from Italy that you're paying a premium for. Note: you can park in the lot WITH validation. (She told me this was a new thing for the plaza.) There can be a line, so make sure to come early if you prefer to sit outside overlooking the marina. Ordered "The Classic" tasting menu to share - it was actually pretty good! None of the pasta stuck together and it was all perfectly cooked and seasoned. Some of the best Italian I've had for sure. I would pass on the tiramisu though, it was just watery. (Only had it since it was part of the tasting menu.) The only drawback was that the pacing of the dishes wasn't that great (huge gap between the 1st and 2nd pastas), and when it was time to pay they just didn't seem to want to take our CC. Solid 4 stars.
